Pardon Me, Could You Please Pass the Relish Tray?

What snack would you eat right now? is today’s #Bloganuary daily prompt.

If you do not mind, could you please pass the relish tray? I like to get some carrots into my day, but why stop there? Add some celery, beets, and olives for an antioxidant boost. A little hummus for dipping and you’ll have a bit protein to boot!

Red roasted pepper hummus, lemon dill hummus, or sweet potato hummus are some of my favorite hummus recipes to dip veggie snacks in. Without any added oil or tahini, hummus is low in fat which makes it a healthy protein snack option. It also works in a wrap or on a sandwich.

Or maybe I would rather have a fruit tray to snack on? Alexa, could you add some chocolate hummus ? Eating whole food plant-based foods gives me lots of delicious, nutritious snack options.
